Prevent Poisonings in the Home

Children at home are the most common victims of accidental poisoning. Age 0-5 make up 51% of all calls to poison centers (4.3 million/yr), but they account for only 2 percent of the deaths. Cosmetics and personal care products are the leading substances this age group gets into.

Let’s use medical common sense keep a child from getting into products and medicines that can hurt them. Many substances around the home if used in wrong way or wrong amount or by the wrong person (esp. children) can be harmful.
