I learned from a friend that “Death cafes”  surfaced in NYC, begun only a few years ago in the UK.dclogo2

In our society we deny death. I am sure I will not get an argument on this point? There is a ‘drama’ associated with a death. Often specified to some extent by religion, culture and economic it still remains the ultimate human tragedy.

Death illuminates the fact that we still have life AND that it is precious. That life is limited and always seems to be brief.

We know we will not live forever and those of us who abuse our bodies know someday – maybe a long ways away – a reckoning will arrive.

Celebrate life this Thanksgiving!
