Visits to ERs in Colorado are up for out of state marijuana users*. We are all aware that marijuana uses is not completely safe! There are adverse effects of marijuana use, they include: psychiatric symptoms (anxiety, hallucinations and altered mental status); cardiovascular symptoms (fast heart rate, high blood pressure, or palpitations); and gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms (abdominal pain and vomiting).
Report did not investigate wither the marijuana was smoked or eaten. Cannabis ingested takes longer and is easier to overindulge/overdose due to slower absorption.
