Bleeding deaths can be prevented. Without conjuring up the images of the awful traumas that can cause death from blood loss, I will say bleeding must always be stopped!
Soon you will see, along side the AEDs at airports and other public gathering areas, a bleeding control kit.
As you can see from poster to right (click on) government assisted by American College of Surgeons are behind this effort. Programs are readily available; interested you must, call your local hospital or go online to Bleeding Control and explore.
Police and now bystanders are spending 2 hours learning with hands on practice with articles in the bleeding control kit. Police carry the kit! lease check where and when next course is and take it along with co-workers, friends, and family members.
