Common Side Effect:
Quinolones, a new class of bacteria fighting antibiotics can reap havoc on your tendons. This should not be a first line medication but if others fail or culture results show only they can kill the bacterial infection you have. All medications have the potential to cause negative effects on our bodies. With use of these antibiotics, incidence of tendinitis is increased 3-4 times. FYI- some folks bastardize the medical term and say ‘tendonitis’! Listen Up on iTunes to DocHandal and find out which ones and more about this side effect DocHandal
